Bye bye, V8 juice! This healthy, homemade version will blow you away. Making your own V-8 vegetable juice is easy and offers a healthier, low cost alternative to the sodium laden store-bought counterpart. If you're looking for an easier way to increase your daily veggie intake, try this tasty V-8 Vegetable Juice recipe:
|Homemade V8 Juice|
Ingredients: Yields about 32 ounces
- 8 carrots, cut into chunks
- 4 stalks of celery, cut into chunks
- 6 tomatoes, cut into chunks
- 1 bunch of fresh spinach
- handful of parsley
- 1/2 medium white onion
- 1 small beet, cut in chunks
- 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons horseradish (optional)
- salt and pepper to taste
- fresh basil for garnish
Using a juicer or high power blender, add all of the ingredients and blend well. Stir, chill, and serve. Great over ice as well!
