Banana Pineapple Pina Colada Smoothie

Cool, refreshing, and a breeze to make, the Pina Colada, the official drink of Puerto Rico was my inspiration for creating this 10 minute, start to finish, Banana Pineapple Pina Colada Smoothie. My version is made with coconut milk yogurt, pineapples and banana. 

Banana Pineapple Pina Colada Smoothie

Recipe: makes 4 servings


  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks 
  • 1 cup vanilla flavored coconut milk yogurt (or any other vanilla flavored yogurt if dairy is not a problem for you) Note: I used the So Delicious brand of coconut milk yogurt.
  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk Note: I also used the So Delicious brand for coconut milk
  • 1 banana 
  • 1/4 cup ice cubes 
  • 2 tablespoons honey, optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 
  • pineapple for garnish

  • Preparation:
    1. In a blender combine yogurt, coconut milk, pineapple, banana, vanilla, ice and honey (if desired). Puree until smooth. Pour into 4 large glasses and garnish with pineapple chunks. Enjoy!
